At a time when the credit card fraud abound, banks put in with new technologies. Illustrates the project developed by Citigroup Inc. In effect, the financial group is currently testing the iridien scan for secure withdrawals from a distributor.
The US bank therefore considering a new form of authentication for its customers. No need to ATM card or type a PIN, instead, uses the DAB scan the eye to identify its owner and authorize the withdrawal of money. Two concepts are proposed: the first, named "Irving" uses a mobile application to register and set the amount of money to withdraw first. Once in front of the dealer, the customer can validate its withdrawal is from an iris scan, either by connecting to the distributor via mobile NFC or QR code. The second, called "Janus" is less revolutionary. It is a distributor connected to double-sided able to serve two users at a time.
If the systems were developed by Diebold, these ATMs are still in the experimental phase. The question is whether the public will adhere to this technology.
