It is not yet known exactly how the application works. She renews the basic phone application Android? It allows to make video calls? Mystery for now, especially since Microsoft refuses to comment. What is certain for now is that this Dialer application can make voice calls when the user is connected to 3G or 2G.

The application is currently being tested in India, a handful of users. Microsoft has chosen India as his Dialer app is intended for countries where wireless connections to the Internet or telephone network are unstable. Ultimately, if the first tests are conclusive, the application could be deployed in other jurisdictions. If one believes Gadgets 360, it would be based on a lightweight version of Skype.

India is also a market in which Internet calling Skype explode and where, in its traditional version, losing ground compared to WhatsApp. Dialer is a way for Microsoft to try to regain ground. We will wait for the official announcement for more information.
