Android 6.0 Marshmallow: many Sony devices will skip the step Lollipop 5.1

Sony had already published the list of 14 terminals that will receive the update to Android 6.0 Marhsmallow. But what we did not know is that many terminals will remain stuck on Android 5.0 Lollipop pending the arrival of version 6.0 of the operating system.

Android updates are always an obstacle course for the majority of manufacturers. Sony, however, pleased customers by announcing the 14 models that benefit from the Android OTA update 6.0 Marshmallow. Of these 14 smartphones and tablets, there are devices on Android 5.1.x but 5.0.x as Xperia Xperia Tablet Z4 or Z3 +. Unfortunately for them, it will wait for the update to Android 6.0 Marshamallow and they do not know the joys of Android 5.1.x like HD calls or better security in case of theft of the mobile.
As can be seen on the Sony site support pages, six mobile devices directly move from Android 6.0 to Android 5.0.x Marshmallow skipping Android 5.1 Lollipop box. These are the Z3 + Sony Xperia smartphones, Xperia C4, C5 Ultra Xperia, Xperia Aqua M4, M5 Xperia and Xperia Tablet Z4 tablet. Sony expects the arrival of Marshmallow the end of the year on all 14 terminals eligible to update. Hopefully the manufacturer will not encounter any major problems and that the timetable could be held, contrary to the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop which had suffered many delays.
