Apple plancherait on the transfer of money between individuals

Apple is working on a project to transfer money between individuals. Two iPhone owners could thus exchanging money as easily as they already exchanging messages, said the New York Times.

This is a source that wished to remain anonymous, but who claims to have participated in the talks for the creation of such a service at Apple, who trusts in the US daily. Apple has indeed launched negotiations with several banks to launch such a service, enabling an iPhone owner to simply transfer money to one of his contacts, in the same way that allow services like PayPal. This new project would complement two other services launched by Apple in recent years: Wallet (formerly Passbook), that can store several maps of loyalty, coupons or tickets, and Apple Pay, launched in October 2014 with iPhone 6, which provides users with a contactless payment service.

This is also in the logic of "replacing the portfolio" by an iPhone, described last June by Jennifer Bailey, vice president of Apple Pay. Apple remains Pay is still quite marginal service. It is only available in some countries, France part of the left behind, but above all, he has not had an adoption rate withering currently: only 17% of iPhone owners and iPhone 6 6s have used apple pay at least once, according to data provided by the firms and PYMNTS.com InfoScouts study. So far Apple seems to dethrone PayPal and others.
