UberEats: a version of the service to deliver your meal

Uber UberEats will launch in Paris, Wednesday, October 14, a service that offers to deliver food in 10 minutes at lunch hour.

With Uber, it is not really shocked by anything. It is also not unusual for the firm launches new services, one-time or sustainable, and that make it much publicity. In France, we obviously thinking UberCopter at the Cannes Film Festival, or UberBateau for walking on the Ourcq Canal in Paris. This time, the new service proposed by Uber is not to take you from point A to point B, but bring your meal of the address of the manufacturer to your home. And it is UberEats.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14, from 11:30 to 14:30, that Uber will inaugurate its new UberEats. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to be delivered anywhere in Paris since experience will be conducted in a limited area, covering the 8th and 9th districts of the capital, as well as areas of the 1st, 2nd and 10th arrondissements, for starters. If the operation is successful, Uber surely extend the geographical coverage of the city to other boroughs.

As for food, Uber wants to offer a daily selection of three dishes, delivered in 10 minutes, from partner restaurants. The service already exists in Barcelona, Spain, and several cities in the United States. To give an idea of prices, they are between 4 and 8 euros in the Catalan city. It will certainly pay a little more, between 8 and 12 euros in Paris. For the launch, delivery fees will not be charged, but they then amount to three euros per order.
