On the occasion of a press conference video, a Google spokesman expressed his love for LG. He said the partnership between Google and the Korean company for the design of Nexus smartphones is expected to continue.
For the design of my Nexus, Google has become accustomed now to appeal to different players, whether HTC, Samsung, LG, Asus, Motorola, or more recently Huawei. Some were nevertheless called more regularly than others, such as Samsung (Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10) and LG (Nexus 4, Nexus and Nexus 5 5X). For the latter, Google explains that collaboration should still continue.
At a press conference, Dave Burke, vice president of Google, announced, on behalf of his company, share the same vision of the mobile market with LG Electronics. Furthermore, it has launched a real statement to the manufacturer stating that "LG is the best partner to design the Nexus smartphones" and that true alchemy was established between the two companies during the development of their joint projects.
A good sign for the future
Although not clearly stated, these statements suggest that Google could again resort to the expertise of LG for creating next Nexus smartphone. However, that certainly does not prevent the Mountain View company to always seek to link new partnerships, such as this year with the Nexus 6P Huawei.
This partnership goes even further, since the Nexus 5X and 6P ship both a picture ... LG Innotek signed Module, a subsidiary of LG Electronics. It nevertheless provides for its Sony sensor.
Finally, Google announced the Nexus 5X be available from October 20 in South Korea. With us, however, it will wait more, preorders will open that October 19.
